OPEN CALL DEADLINE 31.05.2015
Until May 31, 2015 open call of the International Mario Merz Prize for Art and Music'€™s Second Edition
You can submit your nomination for an artist or composer logging onto
www.mariomerzprize.org

The Prize is addressed to artists and composers in mid-career. There are no restrictions as to age, nationality, or media. Artists and composers may not nominate themselves, but become candidates through a system of nominations via Internet by curators, museum directors, critics, gallery owners, members of other cultural associations, musical institutions, performers, and other significant figures of the music and art worlds.
After the eliminatory stage, the compositions of the music finalists will be played in a concert and the works of the remaining artists will be displayed in a group exhibition. As far as the winners - €“chosen by the international jury and the public - are concerned, a production to be presented as part of a solo exhibition will be commissioned from the artist, while the composer will be commissioned to write a composition for string orchestra, as well as music to be performed in a museum setting, thus linking the different arts to one another.

The winner of the First Edition of the Prize are: Wael Shawky (art section) e Cyrill Schürch (music section)

SCADENZA BANDO
